DOMUS THUMBNAILS

Here are a few sketches of concepts for Domus. Ultimately, I was trying to expand my Minima idea, with an adjustable envelope skin system which could be altered according to the client's needs. Furthermore, the use of SIP would mean ease of transportation as well as speedy construction. Also, by remaining demountable in essence, it would respect the Aboriginal ideal of temporary living, and not having a large impact on our earth. Also in my concepts, I was trying to encourage cross ventilation as well as minimal (yet still comfortable) living. Shading was also considered, with the experimentation of special shade walls as well as the envelope. Water catchment was also considered in my ideas, as the dwelling is to be self sufficient.
